Eligibility Requirements

Before initiating a transfer, ensure that:

  • The domain was registered or last transferred more than 60 days ago

  • The domain is active and not expired

  • Domain transfer lock is disabled

  • WHOIS contact email address is valid and accessible

These requirements are mandatory under ICANN transfer policies.

Prerequisites

  • Active NyasaCloud account

  • Domain authorization code (EPP/Auth code) from your current registrar

  • Access to the domain owner’s email address

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Unlock the Domain

  1. Log in to your current domain registrar’s control panel.

  2. Locate the domain management section.

  3. Disable Domain Lock or Transfer Lock.

Step 2: Obtain the Authorization (EPP) Code

  1. In the same domain management area, request the EPP/Auth code.

  2. The code is usually sent to the domain owner’s registered email address.

Step 3: Verify WHOIS Contact Information

  • Ensure the registrant email address is correct and accessible

  • Update it if necessary before starting the transfer

Step 4: Initiate the Transfer at NyasaCloud

  1. Log in to your NyasaCloud client area.

  2. Navigate to Domains → Transfer Domain.

  3. Enter the domain name you want to transfer.

  4. Paste the authorization (EPP) code.

  5. Proceed to checkout and complete payment.

Domain transfers typically include a one-year renewal, added to the current expiration date.

Step 5: Approve the Transfer

  1. Check your email for the transfer confirmation request.

  2. Approve the transfer by clicking the confirmation link.

Transfer Processing Time

  • Transfers usually complete within 5–7 days

  • Some registrars allow manual approval to speed up the process

What Happens After Transfer Completion

  • The domain appears in your SmartHostee account

  • Existing DNS settings remain unchanged unless modified

  • The domain expiration date is extended by one year

Important Notes

  • Domains cannot be transferred during the ICANN 60-day lock period

  • Transferring does not cause website downtime if DNS is unchanged

  • Privacy protection may need to be re-enabled after transfer

Expected Outcome

Your domain will be fully managed under SmartHostee Labs Inc., with continued ownership, extended validity, and centralized domain control.
